What competency-based learning means
Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum measures what a child can do, not how much they can recall for an exam. Learning is hands-on and continuous: children apply skills to real tasks, and teachers assess them through the term rather than in a single sitting at the end of it. Progress is reported against specific competencies — communication, critical thinking, creativity, citizenship, digital literacy — so you learn where your child is strong and where they need support, instead of only a position in class.

A day at Sisi
What a real day looks like
Eight in the morning to three in the afternoon, with the rhythm young children need — structured learning, movement, food and rest, in that order.

Which levels do you offer?
Daycare, PP1 and PP2, and Grade 1 through Grade 4. We follow the Competency-Based Curriculum.
How big are the classes?
A maximum of 25 learners per class, with one teacher for every 10 to 15 children — small enough that every child is seen and encouraged to participate.
What are the school hours?
The school day runs 8:00am to 3:00pm. The office is open 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Are you a day school or boarding?
We are a day school, open to families of any religious background.
How long have you been open?
Sisi Academy opened in 2026 under our director, Dr. Albert Kahira, with a deliberately small intake so that every child is known by name.
